Coronavirus (Covid-19) Travel InformationThe Healing Tree Center understands that the recent outbreak of Coronavirus (Covid-19) raises many questions regarding our retreats as well as planning travel in the near future and we recognise the uncertainty this may cause.
The safety and wellbeing of our patients and staff members comes first and we are closely monitoring the situation as it evolves and we are following our Government’s travel advice. In addition, we are in constant contact with our Government’s news, for first-hand up to date information and insight.
We value the health and safety of all our guests, staff members and people involved with our center. While there has been a recent increase of cases in Lima and some other cities confirmed of COVID-19 in Peru, this has indeed reached Cusco city but we did great in terms of controlling the outspread of this virus, for this; hygiene measures have been put in place to help prevent the spread. We are keeping in constant contact with the Prom Peru travel board to make sure that we have all the necessary information and tools to ensure a safe and relaxing retreat, so far our country is undertaking a quarantine, which shall finish this May 24th, therefore we have suspended our retreats & ground operations, however our sales department is working, tough we are expecting to reopen our borders and get back to our job places gradually, the Peruvian government is still working on it and they haven’t confirmed a month yet, most likely this should be by July, when they reopen our borders. Of course, we do understand your travel concerns, and we want your retreat with us to be as stress-free as possible, so if you Do have any question or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Preventing along your retreat
We have taken all necessary measures in order to avoid any contagion to our patients or team, and we have implemented the following hygiene procedures from the moment that the corona virus was reported worldwide:
Our staff members are doing regular cleaning procedures and emphasizing in aseptic all our transportations as well as the equipment more frequently than normal.
We have equipped our staff with facemasks, antiseptic gel and alcohol in order to maintain adequate asepsis of our Center our patients
All measures that protect our patients will be taken in our Center and we will be assisting all guests in the best way and we will keep you updated with any official news.
Important information prior your retreat
All passengers traveling to Peru are obligated to provide brief health information to the staff at the airport (Lima or Cusco) as we will ask every tourist pertinent questions regarding the countries you have been lately or have flu symptoms. Regarding our own procedures at the Healing Tree Center, we have implemented a cautious period of time before we commence our retreat. Normally each patient goes through a medical checkup a day before our retreat starts, now in order to make sure you don’t have any symptom before our retreats starts, each booking must wait up to 3 days after your medical checkup is done, after these 3 days you will be able to start your retreat, If we do have a special case reported during this 3 days, we will immediately contact health authorities and patients will not be allowed to continue on the retreat as a prevention for all our team and other patients. In case you not able to follow your retreat due to the corona virus, we will refund your money, and we will only consider administrative expenses such as the medical check cost and assistance for the volcano water cleansing, expenses that will be deducted from the total payment
Once we had our first meeting prior our retreat starts, we strongly suggest to follow some very strict personal guidelines to address the corona virus and not jeopardize our upcoming retreat; please implement this your daily basis, stay away of crowds, proper and frequent handwashing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses, wear a mask and medical glove in public areas, for your own safety and ours.
